This is the first time this motor is in the car as of  Feb 6-04.  This is my 2276 drag motor it is set up with a 750 Holley that sits above the transmission. It is plumbed with a 20HP nitrous set up, just in case it doesn't make enough HP.  Motor is set up with an alternator, center mount stand was modified along with the header for it to work.  I have no idea how HP this  power plant will but shoud be enough to go low 9s maybe more. I will start testing this motor real soon. 


Nitrous is set on the left side on the intake manifold.

was put back in the car minus a passenger seat,
I put a charcoal carpet and light gray door panels.

After a disapointing Thursday night at Irwindale (3-11-04) , car would not go over 5000 RPM on 3 passes that I attempted Decided to put the car on the trailor and looked for a Dyno shop for tunning. Today(3-15-04) we took the car to Dynoworks in San Bernardino started at 11:30 and finish at 4:00 we made a total of 12 pulls (lots of pulls) and pulled about 30 sizes in jets to reduce the fuel amount which was still on the rich side. The fist pull with only a range of 5000rpms netted a 300HP pull with the air fuel ratio that didn't even show on the chart. We started to make some jets changes and started to make some HP. As we got to the 8th and 9th pulls, we added a 30 shot of NOS and were tipping the Rear wheel HP at the 400HP+ area. The biggest problem we encountered is the motor was falling off at 6800 RPMs, we narrowed the problem down to the ignition system we think it was maxed out. I run a digital 6 with bosch red coil and MSD distributor. Need to contact MSD Tuesday to confirm the problem. As for the final numbers the motor made 427 RWH with a 30 shot of NOS at 26 PSI that should be about 500HP to the crank with a stock VW case, Motor is 2276 .  You can just barely see the carb in it's new location. 


Dash consist of oil psi,volts and
boost gauge with memory.
I tune the motor with an A/F guage
then remove it when it tuned.
The 2 small lights are green(alternator)
and blue(line lock).

I had to modify the rear tin and had to form a box to fit over the carburator.

This is one of the lastest additions that I have done to the car as of 12-1-03. Added a 10lb nitrous express bottle where the battery was located, now the battery sits in the front by the beam.

The turbo on the left will be going in car in  the near future if it doesnt make enough power. Turbo on the right is a standard TO4  V / O this turbo  ran in this car and made 298 RWHP. Wonder what it will make now? 


This was the old wing , I decided to make a larger one.

Made a new wing for which a thought was better than the smaller one that was on the car.
Just added an exhaust temp guage
